Pink Pegasus Press is an LGBTQIA+-owned and woman-owned independent press that has made Syracuse, N.Y. its home. A publisher of fiction, non-fiction, zines, and stationery, Pink Pegasus Press prioritizes works that inspire joy and human connections.

We accept rolling submissions for select fiction and nonfiction books, poetry, and zines of a variety of subject matter. We also open submissions for special themed projects periodically.

In addition to offering traditional publishing options, Pink Pegasus Press also offers editorial consultation services. Authors of various publishing goals can hire the press to developmentally edit, copyedit, and sensitivity read their work

Founder and Publisher
Alyssa Dearborn is a publisher, writer, and editor who founded Pink Pegasus Press in 2025 with the mission to create a joy-focused, connection-centered independent press in the heart of Central New York.
When she is not connecting with authors, editing, or working on her own writing, Alyssa can be found hitting up a local bookshop, attending Queer events, exploring the outdoors, or creating quirky crafts.
She holds a Masters of Professional Studies in Publishing from the George Washington University and an Graduate Certificate in Editing from the University of Chicago. Alyssa has contributed writing and editing to the Syracuse Woman Magazine, the Fruit Slice, and more.
